Puppies can start the Woof Academy Puppy program as early as 10 weeks of age. We require the first 2 rounds of vaccines and a clean fecal and they can start socialization.

We divide our Puppies into 3 different groups by age, size and confidence as they go through our Puppy Program. They will be playing and interacting with other puppies of the same weekly age, showing them how to play nicely, prevent resource guarding, teach bite inhibition & teach them how to read other dogs. See each Puppy section for details.

Our dog handlers have all been trained to use a variety of positive or redirecting techniques to help teach all of the pups good social skills and manners so each session becomes a learning opportunity for all the puppies. As your pup moves through our program staff will make recommendations on when your pup is ready to move to a more advanced session.

Gather your up-to-date vaccines and fecal records and email them to us at puppy@woof-academy.com

One of our staff will reach out to you to discuss your specific socialization goals and determine what session will be the most appropriate starting session for your pup and reserve that time for you.

Purchase one of our puppy socialization packages, which will confirm your reservation.

For your first session, show about about 5 minutes early so one of our staff can show you around and let you know what to expect for the first day. Please remember to bring your signed Client Release form.

Once you have dropped your puppy off, you are free to observe the beginning of the session for the first few minutes, but we ask parents to minimize the time they spend observing so the puppies are not distracted by their parents and fully engage with the other puppies. This is crucial to each puppy getting the most out of their session at these formative ages.
Intermediate Pups
Once your puppy is fully vaccinated, it is time for them to move into the Intermediate Puppy Session.
This session is for pups 16- 20 weeks of age. Some smaller breed or nervous pups may stay in the Intermediate Puppy Camp a little longer, it depends on their comfort level. The Intermediate Puppy Camp is held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 - 11:30 AM with 15 - 20 puppies per session (small and shy on monday and wednesday.) This session is held in the Puppy Yard.
Junior Pups
The Junior Puppy Session is for puppies that have had at least their first 2 rounds of vaccines and a clean fecal. The Junior Puppy Session is a camp for puppies under the age of 16 weeks. All puppies in this camp are not yet vaccinated. The Junior Puppy Camp is held on Friday mornings from 8:30 - 11:30 AM with a maximum of 15 puppies.
We have toys to stimulate play and prevent resource guarding, ball pits, and pools to encourage positive behavior around water. We have large wooden play structures which build the puppies confidence as they climb and explore. The puppies learn different play styles from each other, impulse control and bite inhibition and the Staff will interrupt and redirect any unwanted behaviors before they become established bad habits.
Advanced Pups
This is the third step in our Puppy Program!
The Advance Puppy Session is for confident and energetic pups aged 20 - 30 weeks of age. This session is held in our puppy yard on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 12:30 - 3:30 P.M.
The Advanced Puppy is the last step in our Puppy Program but we do have a camp for pups that are not yet altered (spayed or neutered), are under a year and over 7 months of age. This camp is called Diamond Dogs. This camp is by invitation only as it is not a good fit for every dog.
